Welcome to my Dach Blog!

Blogging is going to be interesting because I am not much of a writer, but my sister suggested I make a blog to show off pictures of my wirehair dachshunds. They are the entertainment around this house, most definitely. Even better than a good movie, lol. Check back for the humorous stories from these "kids".

Enjoy and if you have any comments or suggestions please let me know.

Can you find Tucker?

Today Tucker & I took a nap... I got up and I thought he did too, but apparently he decided to go back to bed.
Can you find him?
(he is in the picture, but hidden)
Surprise there's Tucker! Thought he disappeared for a few minutes. ;) Doesn't he have the look like "What are you waking me up for?"

"They aren't gonna get my manhood yet" (by Tucker)

Well, my mom has tried twice, yes twice to take me in to remove my manhood . The first time, my vet cancelled. I was very happy with him that day. The second time, he tried but couldn't get the job done. I wasn't happy with him. I screamed and whined in the crate when mom 1st left me there and then they took that razor after me to shave the hair off my legs (gotta say that is just as bad or worse than that darn dremel that mom uses to trim my nails with). Then it got to the bad job... they were gonna stick me with a needle in my leg (of all things, especially cause I can see what they are doing)!!! Well tricked him, I kept pulling my leg up and down, and hahahahah he couldn't get the needle in my leg. Well then he called mom, and said, we are gonna try this another day (just so you know mom was not happy) so she came and got me. Of course I was carrying on in the crate when she walked in, I wanted out of that thing! At any rate they got a little bit of stuff in me cause I was pretty drunk for a few hours. Mom laughed when I was staggering... I couldn't keep my balance to even lift my leg on the tree, for goodness sakes!! I wandered around the yard for awhile (not sure what I was looking for though) hmm?? That stuff made me famished... I was starving when we got home, like I hadn't ate in a week! Mom was nice and shooed everyone outside to let me eat in peace. I left a little for them though. Then I got to sleep in the big bed the rest of the day. Mom even joined me a little while. That mean vet hurt my leg... see how big it is compared to the other one (this is a day after his attempt at taking my manhood), mom says it is just a bruise and it will go away, but I don't know about that :worried:, it hurts pretty badly.
Well she has an appointment for me on wednesday now, she says that I am getting it done if she has to help the doctor ! Oh dear....

Check back for updates after wednesday (I will do my best to stay intact).

Go vote in the poll to the right, maybe if I get enough votes I can convince mom to letting me stay intact. ;)

Thank you to all my fans!
Love,
Tucker

Puppies are 7 weeks!

The puppers are getting big! They turned 7 weeks yesterday. Today I got some pics (& videos) of them rolling around in the grass. Mr Archie thinks he is a big boy picking on his littermates until they start picking back. lol They are so fun at this age... love to be held and give kisses. :) BTW, all the pups but Archie (wildboar boy) are looking for new homes yet! Enjoy!

All played out!

My Poor Plants

Yesterday morning I let the dachs out to potty like usual then got busy doing something else. I went out to check on them and found my 3 inch long cucumber removed from the plant as well a couple leaves.
The thought of salvaging it came to mind until I saw it...
Yes, for some odd reason they thought they needed to remove the peeling, one chunk at a time. (Just so you know, Clover wasn't the only culprit, Devin was caught trying to hide it in their sleeping crate in the house.)
I was really looking forward to that cucumber, oh well, maybe they will leave the next one for me???

I would like to introduce you to the gang!

Here they are from left to right: Devin, Clover, Tucker, & Bentley.Tucker (red), the oldest of the group, is my special boy. He was my first dachshund. He is the leader of the group (he thinks), he is also the lazy one, he would sleep in the big bed all day if I would let him. lol He is my hole finder (in the fence that is) and escape artist. Tucker used to always sleep while I was driving, recently, he has been spotted, hanging his head out the window (& sometimes he gets out a little too far) as I drive.
Vote for Tucker's driving skills ;) here.

Devin (black) is my snuggler. She loves being held and cuddled, belly rubs are one of her favorite things. She also loves toys. She will sit and squeak a toy for hours if I let her. lol She also plays fetch with her toys. Devin is pictured with her favorite thing... a squeaky toy. Can't you here her ... squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak. Clover (blk/tan brindle) is my social butterfly. She loves people, kids, other dogs, you name it. She gets so excited that she squeals when little kids or other dogs come up to my fence because she wants to play. lol She has recently learned how to use her back leg muscles to jump onto the big bed (yikes). Clover is pictured in her "begging" position, lol. She doesn't do that very often but when she does it is very funny.
Bentley (blk/tan), the youngest of the group, is my lazy man. While the others are outside playing, you can usually find him in the house sleeping in the dog bed. He loves to cuddle and sit on my lap (cause he knows he is going to get a treat). He is also my show dog and will begin his show career in July. In this pic, he had just gotten done "washing" my face. lol
